But they sure are fun. Continuing to spend time over at 750words.com, and cheerfully collecting badges as I go.

In addition to the x-number-of-days-in-a-row writing ,I've accumulated the badges for Undistractible, Speedy Typist, and Early Bird. Now working on the Phoenix, and the Night Bat.

I do like looking at the stats. So far my fastest time is 750 words in 8 minutes, which averages around 91 wpm.

Now if only I could get myself to type my current WIP at that speed I'd feel quite accomplished.

Wow!! 91 wpm is stunning. I tried 750words.com but my typing speed, even on a roll, is about 25 wpm. It used ALL my available writing time on a couple of days so I gave up and went back to using Write Or Die. That's a better fit for me but I can see how 750words gets the brain working. I typed some crazy stuff.

The typing speed is a remnant of many a misspent career. :) And whooboy, yes does weird stuff come off the top of your head. :) My hope is to eventually use the time and some of the speed on my wips, but so far those still flow like frozen molasses.

I've used Write or Die for fun as well, and there's one with a kitten....here that's rather cute.

Thanks, there's nothing like mindless straight type/transcribing to keep those fingers busy. It's amazing how different sitting down and actually "writing" is.
