One of my favorite short stories has just been released as an ebook download by Dreamspinner Press,
Bridge of Dreams : It took a special kind of man to work the tall iron on the Straits of Mackinac Bridge crew. Construction foreman Daniel Morris expected his new "tall walker" to be a brave man - but Phillip Sands proved just as courageous in matters of the heart. Danger and possible sabotage lead to an incident that could claim Daniel's life - or convince him to believe in his dreams again.
What makes this release so special today is that on August 28, 2005 the Mackinac Bridgemen Museum burned down. A landmark in my life it was always one of my favorite places to stop, have a pizza and a beer, meet interesting people and listen to stories of times past.
Because we tend to travel out of season it was never crowded and in the hushed quiet of a Michigan Fall I would walk through the museum and be able to touch pieces of these very special men's lives and be transported to their world.
