Catching up is hard to do

chrissymunderOur long weekend, ISP switchover adventure is over! I feel so modern. Of course we were the last appointment on Friday afternoon. And of course the tech had no clue what to do with all our outmoded equipment, and of course they couldn't send the grizzled old tech out until late Saturday. But here we are, all wireless and tingly. My Kindle is amazed (no more trips to the McDonald's parking lot), and I do believe an inexpensive laptop maybe in the works to keep us out of the basement during the cold winter months. As for the hype on HD television...I may have to give them that one. Even I can notice a difference.
Just for fun, we asked the poor guy on Saturday what it would take to hook the old, non-Internet ready Windows ME computer I use upstairs as a word processor to the network.
He paled.
We laughed.
